This candy corn bark is seriously addicting! I sent this plate into work with my hubs, so I wouldn’t be tempted to eat it all.

Love this! Your recipe takes “bark” to a whole other level! HAVE to make this s.a.p.!

Thanks Sarah! It really is SO good!

I am picking up ingredients tonight to make this! Sounds amazing. Thanks for the recipe!

I hope the recipe turned out well! This is my new favorite Halloween treat! :)

Totally making this for my study group tomorrow night! Thanks for the great recipe!

I hope your study group enjoyed them…what a perfect treat to bring! :)

Love this idea and so easy to do. I had to add it to my craftsbycourtney Facebook page this morning!!

It really is so easy and absolutely delicious! Thanks for adding it to your page! :)

What I meant to say was…this looks so amazing! Can’t wait to try! I love that it’s pretty fall colors too :)

Hope you enjoy this candy corn bark…my family and friends love it! :)

I just bought the items for the candy corn bark. It looks sooooo delicious! Thanks for posting!

I hope you like it! I need to make some more this week, we went through it way too fast!

HI, I just made this, and ran into some issues. The caramel bits (I purchased the same ones you did) did not spread like yours did in the picture. I had to drizzle it, and it cooled so quickly that it turned into chunks. I did not see any directions on the package as to how to melt, so I just did it in a bowl in the microwave. Any suggestions? Mine doesn’t look very pretty, but I’m sure it will taste great!

I’m sorry it didn’t turn out as well for you! When I made mine, the package said to add 2 Tablespoons of water and to melt in the microwave in 30 second increments, stirring in between. I hope that helps with the consistency!

I bet that would have made ALL the difference! I don’t know why I didn’t see/the package didn’t have directions. :)

Hi! I just made this, and I did add the 2 Tablespoons of water, but my caramel is still so gooey and soaking through the pretzel holes, it’s very messy. Did your caramel set, or is it still soft? I can’t stack the pieces because it’s super sticky. I have to say, it’s VERY yummy, I just wondered if your caramel stiffens. Maybe I just didn’t wait long enough??

My caramel set and was a chewy texture. I waited a few hours before I pulled mine off! Maybe try a little less water next time! :)

I found this really easy to make last night but was really disappointed this morning when I went to break it into chunks. The carmel stuck so badly to the wax paper that it became a sticky mess, and the m&ms fell off nearly every piece.

I’m sorry you had so much trouble with it Coleen! That has never happened when I’ve made it. Maybe next try try putting the M&M’s on sooner. I put mine on right away and and they stuck perfectly. Also, I pulled my caramel off a few hours after I made it and it came off pretty well. You could try spraying it with cooking spray? Hope it works better if you make it again! :)

I just made this & had the same problem as Toni. Is the caramel supposed to set up? Mine is gooey (tastes great, though) & I followed your recipe to the nth. Help?

Yes the caramel is supposed to set, it should be chewy though. Maybe try adding a little less water to the caramel when you melt it? I hope it works out better for you next time! :)

I think you may want to add comments right in the recipe like the caramel hardens fast so you need to be quick spreading it, that you should spray the wax paper for easy removal and put the candy on as soon as the chocolate is spread. I realize they are in the comments but not everyone reads all the comments until they have a problem.

Thanks for your suggestions. Just added it to the recipe :)

What’s the best way to cut this bars?

I’d cut it with a very sharp non-serrated knife – or, my preferred method, break by hand. Pick up one side and put pressure to snap it. :)

Hello friends! Happy Tuesday! I have a yummy Halloween treat to share with you today. Salted caramel candy corn bark! Need I say more?

This delicious treat is super simple to make and NO-BAKE. I love simple desserts. Especially when they involve caramel. Everything just tastes better with caramel, doesn’t it? Make this for a Halloween party or better yet make it to enjoy during your favorite fall show! Eek, Grey’s starts Thursday! Who else is excited? Okay back to the recipe… ;)

Salted caramel candy corn bark

Ingredients:

1 bag of waffle style pretzels (I used approx. 75 for this recipe)

1 (16 oz) pkg. vanilla candiquik coating

1 (11 oz) pkg. caramel bits

1 (9 oz) bag candy corn M&M's (could use regular candy corns as well)

Directions:

Line a baking sheet with wax paper and butter or lightly spray with non-stick cooking spray. Then place the pretzels in the pan side by side.

Melt caramel in a microwavable bowl according to package directions. Stir caramel until smooth and then spoon caramel over each individual pretzel. Allow to cool for 5 minutes.

Melt the vanilla coating in the microwave according to package directions. Pour the coating over the caramel and spread evenly. Then place M&M's or candy corn on top, quickly as it will harden fast. Allow candy to harden and then cut into pieces. Peel the wax paper from the caramel and enjoy! :D

The caramel hardens fast so you need to be quick spreading it and put the candy on as soon as the chocolate is spread.

The salted pretzel, caramel and white chocolate combination is perfection. This simple dessert is a new favorite! The fun thing about this recipe is you can customize it for any holiday. Or get creative and add different candy toppings!

This candy corn bark is seriously addicting! I sent this plate into work with my hubs, so I wouldn’t be tempted to eat it all.

So I’m curious… are you a candy corn lover or hater? ;)
